Safeguarding statement for patients

Woosehill Medical Centre is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk.

Safeguarding means protecting people from abuse, neglect, harm, exploitation or bullying. Abuse and neglect can affect anyone, including children, young people, adults with care and support needs, older people, carers and families.

If you feel unsafe, or you are worried that someone else may be at risk, please speak to a member of our practice team. You can also ask to speak to the Practice Safeguarding Lead.

We will listen to your concerns and take them seriously. Where appropriate, we may need to share information with other services, such as social care, health professionals or the police, if this is necessary to protect you or another person from harm.

We will only share information where it is lawful, necessary and proportionate to do so.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

For non urgent concerns, you can contact the practice or seek advice from local safeguarding services.
