Abuse and neglect of adults at risk
Everyone has the right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
Abuse and neglect can occur anywhere: in your own home or a public place, while you’re in hospital or attending a day centre, or in a college or care home.
You may be living alone or with others. The person causing the harm may be a stranger but, more often than not, you’ll know and feel safe with them. They’re usually in a position of trust and power, such as a health or care professional, relative or neighbour. Find out more. The Rose Centre
The Rose Centre is now open at Oxford Road Community Centre (site of the old Battle Hospital).
The Centre is a place where women who have experienced FGM can access support and, where necessary, onward referral to services. There will be support from local communities, local experts on the subject of FGM as well as Specialist Obs/Gynae Registrar providing clinical advice and support. Find out more. The Survivors Trust
