Beat the Wave. Important update on rising flu cases

Local health services are seeing a sharp rise in flu cases across the region. The ICB is asking everyone to take extra care and make sure they are protected as we move deeper into the winter season.

Flu can spread very quickly and can be serious for older people, pregnant women, young children and anyone with a long term condition. The ICB is encouraging people to get their flu vaccine as soon as possible if they have not already done so.

If you have symptoms such as a high temperature, body aches, sore throat or a dry cough, please stay at home and avoid contact with others until you feel better. This will help protect vulnerable people and reduce pressure on local hospitals and GP practices.

For more information you can read the full update from the BOB ICB on their news page.
