Practice Closure Notice: Tuseday, 09 June, from 1:00 pm (PLT)

Woosehill Medical Centre will be closed from 1:00 pm on Tuseday, 09 June, for Protected Learning Time (PLT)

Protected Learning Time (PLT) closures for GP practices in Wokingham, like elsewhere in England, mean the practice will be closed for staff training and professional development. During these closures, which typically occur one afternoon per quarter, you can find out our upcoming PLT date here. The NHS provides alternative arrangements for urgent medical needs.

PLT afternoons allow our doctors, nurses, and staff to take part in essential training and development to improve the care we provide.

What this means

  • We will not be able to process appointment requests, prescription requests, blood results or other routine matters during this time.
  • These services will resume as normal the next working day.
  • Our administrative staff will also be unavailable.

Need help while we are closed?

  • For urgent medical help: Contact the NHS 111 service.
  • For emergencies: Dial 999.
  • For non-urgent matters: Contact the practice the following working day or refer to the practice website for further information.

Thank you for your understanding and support while we complete this important training.
